What happens if someone makes a phonecall to my virtual SMS number?

By default: nothing.

To receive calls you can setup a call forwarding number in the settings from your virtual SMS number.

go the "settings" from your virtual SMS number

go to "call forwarding"

add your number in international format without leading +
