Odds calculations and prize limitations for Gamified Coupons

All our Gamified Coupons are based on the chances of probability calculations to hand our prizes. This way, you're in charge of how often a certain prize can be won. Learn more about our odds calculation system and how to set it up.

1) ODDS CALCULATION
Here’s how the odds work on a gamified coupon
Note: The "odds / Percentage" part is separate from the "Limited prize settings" part.

Odds/percentages

The odds calculation is pretty obvious.
For example: If you setup a chance of 10% percent to win the first prize and 30% to win the 2nd prize; the results are based on those chances.

So, in theory, if 100 consumers play the gamified coupon you should have approximately 10 winners for the first prize and 30 for the 2nd prize.

For every prize, you can set up a max. number of winners. Suppose the prize has reached the max. number of winners, the prize is automatically taken out of the circuit.

2) PRIZE LIMITATION
However, there's another interesting feature to limit certain prizes despite the odds you have set up. It's very convenient if you want to restrict a particular prize to a few winners only. Follow my lead! This is only available in the advanced coupon builder.

BE AWARE. The chances of winning a prize that's taken out of the circuit are now added as 'LOSE CHANCES.'

Easily set up a max. number of winners for every prize at the Gamified Coupon Builder.

1) Open the coupon in the coupon builder
2) Navigate to prize settings
3) There are 2 options to set up a limitation:
BIG SCREEN: You'll find it under the label 'Prize settings'. Here you set up the max. number of winners for that prize.
SMALL SCREEN: You'll find it under the label 'Prize settings.' Press 'actions' and select 'set limitations'. Now enter the max. number of winners for that prize.

If a prize has reached its max. number of winners, the chances of winning that prize are reversed into lose chances.

1) Example of the setup of the max. number of limitations and the overall winning chances. UNUSED.
You see I have set up max. 1 winner for the first prize.

2) Example setup of the max. number of limitations and the overall winning chances. USED.
You see the prize with the limitation is out of the circuit. The winning chances have decreased.
