All digital campaigns designed with Coupontools, should have an expiration date before going live. Follow my lead to set up a (flexible) expiration date.
There are 3 types of expiration dates: 1) the fixed expiration date. 2) the flexible expiration date 3) the expiration date after the claim was completed.

1. Fixed expiration date
Campaign becomes unavailable after this date. People can't redeem your coupon anymore.

Open your coupon in the coupon builder. Navigate to the 'general settings' (1). Scroll down to the bottom of the general settings tab. (2) Set up an expiration date in the future. The coupon will be unavailable after this specific date.

2. Flexible expiration date
A flexible expiration date works differently than a fixed expiration date. A flexible expiration date is based upon when someone first opened your digital coupon. E.g. If I set up a flexible expiration date for 1 month for a coupon. If a user opens the coupon on May 1st the coupon expires 1 month later, on June 1st.

The flexible expiration date feature is on request. Get in touch with support for access to the flexible expiration date.

Once you have requested your access to the feature, you'll find the feature in your general settings (1) just below the fixed expiration date. (2) Select when the campaign expires after a person first opened a campaign.

3. Validity time after claim method was completed. (Expiration date after claim action was completed.)
This is a bit similiar as the flexible expiration date. The coupon remains valid for a specific time (you have set up) after the user completed the claim gesture. E.g. If I set up a validity time after claim of 1 month, the person has 1 month to redeem the coupon. After the month, the coupon will be expired and unavailable.

Open your coupon in your coupon builder and navigate to the 'after claim' settings tab. Select how long the person has to redeem the campaign after the claim method was completed.
