Set up a discount for a package for your subaccounts
If you configured the packages and payment settings, you can also set up discounts for your subaccounts. Follow my lead to create your first discount coupon.
Open your trial account and select 'coupons' (1) in your products tab. Enter a name for your package (2) and provide an ID (3). ID is meant for API purposes. Now select if the discount is a fixed amount or a percentage. I have selected percentage (4) and entered 20% as the discount value (5). Next, select if it's applied to a specific package or all packages. In this example, I have select a specific package (5). Select your package (6)!
Now let's manage the coupon settings at the bottom of the page.
Select if the discount is forever, once or for multiple months (1). If you have selected multiple months, determine the number of months as well (2). Next, configure redemption limits (3). Those limits are based on time or number of coupons that can be claimed. Select use 'customer-facing coupon codes' (4) and compose your coupon code (5). Now, let's determine the coupon code specifications (6).
It's possible to select ALL options below. Determine what's best for you approach.
Eligible for first-time order only: Only applied on the first time they purchase your license.
Limit to a specific customer: if selected, you assign this code to one customer in particular. If selected, a box appears where you can select which customer can use the code.
Limit the number of times this coupon can be redeemed: A window appears where you can fill out the number of times the coupon can be used.
Add an expiration date: window appears to configure the expiration date.
Require minimum order value: If selected, you can determine the required minimum value that's needed before someone can use the coupon.
Finally, select 'add another code' if you want to create another coupon code. (7)
